 Alexandra Ray and Catherine Loewe have partnered from both sides of the pond to bring you The Eye of the Huntress. With their combined years of experience in the art world and deep knowledge of post-war and contemporary art, artists, collectors and the market, these two ardent art lovers have combined their talents to launch a progressive more immersive way for art collectors to view and buy art.

 

As an online only platform, our progression into the pioneering space of NFT’s and the metaverse, is a natural step. Our first major NFT project was launched September 2022 in collaboration with SuperRare and Some.place in the Metaverse, to bring together works from international multidisciplinary artists for collectors to view in a beautiful digital gallery space. We believe in a hybrid model of showing works from the ‘hottest" artists both digitally and physically, to bring you a exciting curated collections and streamling the viewing experience from one's electronic devices.

 

In addition, we also offer a seamless personalized service that includes shipping, insurance and installation from the gallery or studio, straight to your home. We also work with clients to further source specific pieces or commission site-specific installations.

Today’s buyer can be overwhelmed with art choices.  What if you could be sent carefully selected artworks by sought after artists and have this capsule collection save you months of trawling through hundreds of art world websites and newsletters?   Our mantra is less is more and we believe in “edit, edit, edit “ for the discerning collector!  With many years  working with clients on the rewarding journey of creating art collections, we have developed a sense of what is in the ‘zeitgeist’  and we now wish to use our expertise and access to further assist both new and seasoned collectors to invest in distinctive pieces by notable artists and rising stars.

    Alexandra Ray, Director of Alexandra Ray Art Advisory, has been an art advisor, private art dealer and curator on the West Coast for 15 years now.  Alexandra Ray began dealing privately in art in London at the pinnacle of the exploding British Art scene in the late 90’s working with the YBA’s and placing them in several corporate and private collections. Having relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2006, she set up her art advisory business on the West Coast, focusing primarily on Post War European and American Contemporary art for corporate and private residential collectors.She has curated numerous pop up shows showcasing many international emerging artists in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Additionally, she has worked with some of the most talented Interior designers and architects placing art in their client’s interiors and advising new collectors on expanding their art collections.

     

    Alexandra gained a BA Honors Degree in Fine Art at Central St. Martin’s in London, England.  She currently serves as a member of San Francisco MOMA’S SECA (Society for the Encouragement of Contemporary Art) is a board member for StART Up Art fairs in L.A and San Francisco and the Headlands Center for the Arts, SF.

    Catherine Loewe is a London based curator and consultant with over 20 years of experience in the contemporary art industry.  Catherine developed her career at Christie’s, and with leading galleries in London Waddington Custot, Anthony D’Offay and The Marlborough Gallery, setting up her eponymous consultancy in 2008 to develop innovative exhibitions supporting emerging artists.  The consultancy expanded to working with mid-career and established artists on a wide range of  projects, events and commissions.  With a track record for identifying artists at early stages in their career and in-depth understanding of the post-war and contemporary art market, Catherine has advised both private and corporate clients on building and managing their art collections.  

     

    Catherine has conducted numerous private studio visits, curator talks and events such as for Mayfair Art Weekend and The Cultivist Club.  She has served on the Acquisition Committee, Young Patrons of Tate Gallery,  is a patron of Modern Art Oxford and a member of AWAD, the Association of Women Art Dealers.
